 JUST SCENT

BATH AND BODY INSTRUCTIONS

_______________________________________________________

ADDING FRAGRANCE OIL/COLOR to the SILKY HAND AND BODY LOTION, LUSCIOUS LOTION AND WHIPPED BODY MOUSSE:
Mixing the either of the bases is VERY SIMPLE!! It can be hand mixed or you can use an electric.
Simply pour or pump your base product into a bowl, add your fragrance oil and color;
yes they can be added at the same time if desired.

1/2 to one ounce is all the fragrance oil you will need! It is of course your preference.
What is strong to some is not strong to others. Color is the same way. Your preference.
It takes very small amounts of bath and body safe colorant to color your lotion/mousse.
As you are blending you will know if you want more color or fragrance oil added.

Once all the colorant is evenly spread your know that the scent is too.
Mix or hand stir until the oil and color is suspended evenly into the lotion base.
It normally takes less than a minute using an electric mixer and about 2 minutes if mixing by
hand.  I have found that a whisk works well when blending smaller amounts.

There is no need to heat the base for mixing. It is designed to accept your fragrance oils and
colorants without the extra effort of heating it. There is no need to add extra preservatives
to the base.  Additives may also be introduced into the base at 1% volume.

For a 4 oz bottle use about 7 to 14 drops of scent. About a quarter of a teaspoon.
For an 8 oz bottle use about 14 to 28 drops of scent. Less than 1/2 teaspoon.

Not all scents are the same. Some are more potent than others.
As always, remember to TEST, TEST, TEST to get your desired results.
Keep a record of the formulation YOU LIKE THE BEST!

A good rule of thumb for adding scent to your mousse or lotion - less is better!
Start out with less - you can always add more!

Instructions for Fizzy Powder:
There is really no standard of how much fragrance you can add. If you are making
1 lb batches, you can start with 1/8 oz fragrance oil; the max you would probably want to
do is 1/2 oz per pound.  As for colorant, you can add as much as you'd like, we just
recommend not adding to much since you don't want to leave a ring around the tub.
If you are using liquid colorant, you can start off with 4 to 5 drops and work your way up to
the desired colored. If you are using powder, you can just sprinkle it in little by little.
Remember, it is always best to start off with a light color and work your way to the color
you'd like.

If you are adding oils, it will get "crunchy," so you will have to work through the tough
parts.  Also, do not package it up right away or while it is "wet". Let it sit out for a bit
before packaging.  The best way to store unscented/ no color fizzie is in the plastic bags
they arrived in.

DEAD SEA SALT SUGGESTIONS/USES:
Salt water bathing stimulates circulation, hydrates the skin, increases moisture retention,
promotes cellular regeneration, detoxifies the skin, and helps heal dry, scaling, irritated skin.
It also reduces inflammation of the muscles and joints, relaxes muscles and relieves pain
and soreness. Important minerals such as magnesium, potassium, bromide, and calcium
are readily absorbed into the skin when we bath in a lukewarm sea salt bath.

One-Half to one cup of sea salt per bath are recommended for detoxifying and for
alleviating itchy, dry skin.

Use salts to make bath soaks, bath bombs, bath fizzies, scrubs and foot soaks.
Sea salt water can also be used in creams and lotions to help soothe irritated skin
due to eczema, psoriasis and other dry skin conditions.

Bath salts are very easy to make! You can use one or more varieties of salt.
Using different salts mixed together brings the therapeutic properties of each of
the salts into your bath salt blend. Using different grain sizes provides more
visual appeal.  Bath salts can be lightly colored in beautiful pastel or light earthy
hues by using FD&C dyes.

We suggest only lightly coloring your bath salts so that the dye will not stain the skin during
bath time. You may also add a tiny amount of vegetable oil to add moisturizing properties
to your bath salt blend. Bath salts can be fragranced with essential oils or fragrance oils.
Use approximately 1% essential oil or 2% fragrance oil.
