9 grams Powdered Colorant - Super fab for lotions, gels, scrubs, shampoos, conditioners and salts. You can color anywhere between 5 to 10 gallons of base or 50 lbs of salts depending on how dark you want your final product to be.
Our recommendations: For lotions, scrubs and creams - Dilute the powdered colorant (1/2 gram to 1 gram) with about 10 drops of water. Then add directly to the base and mix.
Clear products such as shampoos, shower gels, liquid glycerin and washes - Add the powdered colorant (1/2 gram to 1 gram) directly to the base and mix. Bath salts, etc: Sprinkle the colorant on the product, spray lightly with water and mix.
Things to watch for: When mixing clear product remember that if your bubbles are colored then too much colorant was used. When scenting lotions or products that will be applied to the skin too much colorant may color the skin. When mixing salts over-coloring is not as big a deal because the salts will be used in a large body of water. How light or vibrant a color turns out usually depends on the amount of powder colorant used.
Remember it is easier to add more colorant than to remove it once added. Our colorants are very potent and a little goes a long way. If you have no way of measuring in grams just sprinkle a very small amount (like a tiny, tiny pinch) and work your way up; you will soon discover the amount you are happy with.
